Here we are at the second installment of our workshops at the Landmarks Preservation Resource Center, Sharpening Woodworking Edge Tools. The workshop starts this Saturday, March 19th at 10am. For three hours we'll practice the steps it takes to get a tool to a good edge for woodworking. Our focus is going to be on chisels and plane blades. We'll look at new tools and tools that need some restoration. If time allows we'll take a look at cleaning up a Stanely Bailey style bench plane since sharpening conversations always end up leading to talk about tool restoration. Should be fun and informative with plenty of hands on experience for everyone. I know I'm looking forward to it. I'll see you Saturday! See all the details on the Teaching Dates page.
